remember the mother's day polish bonaza? well, it was time to try the crackle polish that hubs got me. i like it so much, i've been walking around with my head down bumping into things. i even bumped heads with hubs in the store. we both laughed. he's amused and happy that i'm taking so much joy in a present that he picked out. always having too much fun with my toes.
this is a two step process. this is a picture of the undercoat.

this is a picture of the finished product. the 2nd step is merely a second coat of paint, using a special dark green polish that shrinks and cracks as it dries.

the family took me out on Saturday to have a juicy jalepeno burger and some sweet tater tots. they also took me to walmart where i had to wander around so they could shop for me (in secret).
sunday morning before church, they presented me with 2 fancy chocolate bars (cayenne & orange - my 2 favorites) and some awesome nail polish.
my son picked purple. my daughter, blue and green. hubs got me some glitter stuff (4th of July is coming up) and some new crackle stuff that looks like watermelon rind. cool stuff. and they all know how much i love to paint my toes.
what a blessed mother (and wife) i really am.

just so you know, those ain't lee press-on nails. it's the real deal. :D

these are real too! i love it when it gets warm enough to let them grow.

french manicures are so much fun especially with a discount. got a coupon for some cool polish and made the most of it.

green has been my favorite color since i was about 16 and i truly enjoy keeping my toes decorated. my daughter has followed--dare i say it?--in my footsteps. she loves to decorate her toes as well. in anticipation of st. patrick's day, hubs picked out a lovely shade of green nail polish to give to our daughter for her birthday. she was kind enough to lend it to me for st. patty's day insurance. *wink*
